Joey

Selah Music Director

Josiah (Joey) is a pianist, singer and songwriter who grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney. Being taught by his grandfather (who was a concert pianist) from the age of four, Josiah developed an early love and appreciation for the way music can affect a human being. After doing graded classical piano as a child, he went on to learn jazz and improvisation in high school which lead to many live shows throughout Sydney.

Performing mainly in church settings for the past fifteen years, Joey has developed a gift in expressing creativity and emotion through music. This has translated into a love of songwriting and producing original music, resulting in his first EP being released in 2022. After teaching piano for many years, Joey turned his attention to founding Selah Music.
